Location: Newport Beach, CA
Join us for our Spring Day Camp at the GSLC on the Newport Beach peninsula where campers will participate in art activities, beach fun, camp songs, games, Makerspace, and outdoor skills.
Volunteers & staff will provide a safe and supportive environment for campers to learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun all day indoors & out. Day Camper will receive a patch & badge sheet detailing badge steps completed during camp.
Adult Volunteers: Adult Volunteers are essential for the supervision and success of Day Camp. We are looking for registered Girl Scout Volunteers. Volunteers support campers by encouraging them to try new activities, ensuring camper units arrive on time, and assisting with general camp operations as needed.
Optional Adult Volunteer Discount:
- Full time (3 days) adult volunteers who volunteer 9am-3pm may opt to receive a $82.50 reimbursement for their Girl Scout Camper registration.
- Part time (1–2 day) adult volunteers who volunteer 9am-3pm may opt to receive a $25 per day reimbursement for their Girl Scout Camper registration.
**You may choose to receive the reimbursement or donate it to GSOC. All reimbursements will be processed at the conclusion of camp.
Who can Volunteer: caregiver(s), siblings over 18, grandparents, college students, aunts, and anyone else over 18 that meets the registration and mandate requirement.
All volunteers attending must complete a name-based background check, fingerprinting based background check and online Mandated Reporter Training.
If you have not completed this process, email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and put Mandated Reporter Training and/or Fingerprinting in the subject line.
Why is this required?
Day Camper (K-5th grade): Campers will have fun participating in Girl Scout activities indoors and outdoors!
Camp Aide (6th-12th grade): Camp Aides are Girl Scouts in grades 6-12 who assist Staff by providing supervision, helping with activities, and supporting the overall well-being of campers. Camp Aides serve in a Leadership capacity, not as a Camper participant. Camp Aides are encouraged to earn a Mentoring Award prior to camp, but it is not required. Cadettes can complete Cadette Program Aide Training on their own.

Parking: Free parking for Spring Break Day Camp volunteers only. Additional details will be included in the confirmation email.
*All Girl Scouts K-12th grade must have a Girl Health History & Annual Permission Form filled out and brought with them to Day Camp.

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girl Scouts must complete online registration and pay deposit (if applicable) or in full. Then fill out the Reimbursement form prior to participating in the event.
GSOC Event Scholarship may be available upon request for GSOC Girl Scout. To request a GSOC Event Scholarship please complete the GSOC Council Event Scholarship Form.
