Grades 8-10, Lower Camp Cabins

Calling all those that have taken the LEAP before and are now seeking the ultimate leadership challenge! Dive into a 12-day session designed to push the boundaries of your leadership skills, delving deeper into the intricate balance of communication, group dynamics, and team building. Between engaging in advanced LEAP programming, participate in a variety of camp activities that promise excitement and exploration. Join forces with fellow campers as you hone the essentials of leadership. Discover your strengths and skills, learn how to utilize them effectively, and share your wisdom with other campers. The stage is set—let the leadership adventure begin!

**Our three-tiered pricing program allows families to see the actual “per camper” cost (Tier 3) to operate Camp Scherman and choose from three pricing tiers.  Please choose the fee plan most appropriate for your family’s financial circumstances.  All campers have the same unforgettable camp experience, regardless of pricing tier.

  • This camp accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girl Scouts must complete online registration and pay deposit. Next fill out the Reimbursement form prior to attending camp.
  • Campership Assistance Fund
    Financial aid "camperships" are awarded to campers on the basis of financial need only and are available for sleepaway camps.

Cancellation Policy
If you would like to cancel or receive a refund for sleepaway camp, a written request is required. Please email your request to or mail your request to GSOC. Please include the full names of those who cannot attend, the camp program name and the camp date.

More than 4 weeks prior to camp: Full refund minus $75 deposit per camper.

2-4 weeks prior to camp: No refund (except for medical reasons must be approved by GSOC).

Less than 2 weeks prior to camp: No refund (except for medical reasons must be approved by GSOC).
