Huntington Beach Girl Scouts present Adventures in Girl Scouting: Girl Scouts Around Town.
Join us as we explore our community and learn about the people and places that make our community special.
Day Campers (TK Daisy-5th grade Junior):
Campers will have fun participating in Girl Scout activities including crafting, songs & games, badge earning, and walking field trips.
Junior Aides (6 grade Cadette):
Experience camp while also taking the first steps of your leadership journey and earn the Junior Aide Award.
Program Aides (7th-8th grade Cadette & 9th grade Senior who have not previously participated in camp as a PA):
Continue your leadership journey while taking on more responsibility with some planning and execution of activities at camp.
Opportunity to earn the Program Aide Award.
Volunteer in Training (9th grade Senior who previously participated in camp as a PA & 10th-12th grade Senior/Ambassador):
Further your leadership journey to include the planning and running of camp programs. VITs will take on extra leadership roles to earn the Volunteer in Training Award.
**Program Aides and Volunteers in Training must attend training and planning sessions held prior to camp (Date/Time TBD) in order to facilitate camp and earn the PA and VIT Awards.
What to Bring:
- Sack lunch
- Reusable water bottle
- Closed-toe/closed-heel shoes (sneakers preferred)
- Sunscreen
Adult Volunteers: Adult Volunteers NEEDED!! We can't run this camp without YOU! We are looking for registered Girl Scout Volunteers.
**Adult Volunteer Discounts:
- All Full Time Volunteers will receive reimbursement up to $100 off Girl Scout registration.
- All Part Time Volunteers will receive $20 reimbursement per day of Volunteering on one camper registration.
Reimbursement will happen at the conclusion of camp.
All volunteers attending Service Unit Day camps must complete a name-based background check, fingerprint-based background check and an online Mandated Reporter Training.
If you have not completed this process, email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and put Mandated Reporter Training and/or Fingerprinting in the subject line.
The only exception to this is if you’re volunteering for only 1 day.
Why is this required?
**Volunteers will also need to attend a short Zoom training before camp (Date/Time TBD).
All campers, Junior Aides, Program Aides, Volunteers in Training, Pixies, full-time and part-time adult volunteers will receive a t-shirt. Extra t-shirts are available for preorder only, for $15 each.

Please note: Health history and other camp forms will be collected digitally through CampDoc.com, a secure and easy-to-use electronic health record system for camps. Look for an invitation email from CampDoc.com approximately one week after registration is completed. All forms must be completed prior to Day Camp.

This event accepts GSOC Cookie Dough, GSOC OC Bucks, and GSOC Juliette Dollars! Girls must complete online registration and pay in full. Cookie Dough, OC Bucks and Juliette Dollars must be submitted to the camp director prior to attending camp. You will receive a refund at the conclusion of camp and once the amount has been verified.
