Orange Day Camp
Location: Irvine Regional Park, 1 Irvine Park Rd, Orange, CA 92869
Date: June 26-June 30, 2023
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Theme: Peoples of the Ancient World
Email: orangegirlscoutdaycamp@gmail.com
Camp Director: Teresa Beach
Girls entering grades K-12th (fall 2023) are invited to come enjoy a week in the great outdoors as we learn about the ancient people and cultures that shaped our world through crafts, games, songs and other fun activities.
Adult Volunteers: Our day camp is organized and staffed entirely by volunteers. Sign up to be a day camp volunteer when you sign up your camper! Grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends are all welcome! Don’t wait – sign up NOW! It’s going to be a fun week and we need you! Full-time volunteers who attend all 5 days will be reimbursed for their camper’s or youth staff’s registration fee, up to $100 on the last day of camp. (Only one camper fee per adult volunteer will be reimbursed.) Part-time volunteers are also welcome. There is no fee reimbursement for part-time volunteers.
To meet the child to adult ratio set by GSUSA and to ensure the health and safety of our campers, we need adequate numbers of adult volunteers to be able to place all Campers who want to attend day camp. Girls and troops who provide volunteers will be placed first. Campers without adult volunteers will be placed as child to adult ratios are covered. Help us place all our campers and volunteer!
One t-shirt is included for all campers, adult volunteers, youth staff, boys and Pixies. Extra t-shirts may be ordered at $15 per shirt.

New this year: Health history and other camp forms will be collected digitally through CampDoc.com, a secure and easy-to-use electronic health record system for camps. Look for an invitation email from CampDoc.com approximately one week after registration is completed.
** Due to California legislation, all Full-Time volunteers attending Day camps must complete the online child abuse identification and reporting training and a fingerprint-based background check. Please email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org if you have not already completed this process.
California Assembly Bill No. 506 requires 1) any administrator, employee, or regular volunteer (those who volunteer more than 16 hours in a month or 32 hours in a year) of a California youth service organization to complete training in identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect, and 2) require California youth-serving organizations to include fingerprinting as part of its background screening.
Special message regarding COVID-19: Girl Scouts of Orange County is closely monitoring the COVID-19 updates from the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, the California Department of Public Health, and the Orange County Health Care Agency. Registrants will be notified if the decision is made to cancel Camp Programs (day camp, weekend camp, or summer resident camp) this summer due to recommendations from local and national health authorities. In the event of cancelation by GSOC, all registrants will receive a full refund.
