Open to Girl Scout Cadettes

Please do not register for this event if you are unable to arrive by 4pm.

Visit the Orange County Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (OCRFL)! The OCRFL is a one stop, full service forensics laboratory and training center devoted entirely to the examination of digital evidence in support of criminal investigations. Cadettes will interact with STEM professionals and have a tour of the facility. Be sure to bring your questions to ask the staff!

This event helps OC Cadettes complete Step 1 of your My STEM Life badge and Step 2 of your Special Agent badge.

Please be prepared for this event

STEM professionals, including Executive Management, Special Agent, Forensics Examiner, and Intelligence Analyst will be present to speak to girls. Please look up at least one of these roles prior to the event and come prepared with questions to ask during the event. The more prepared you are, the better your experience will be.

Due to space constraints, please limit to 2 GSOC adult volunteers per troop/group maximum, see guideline below. Adults registered may be asked to chaperone girls registered as individuals to keep event to capacity. All adults registered for this event must be GSOC registered member and background screened. No tag-alongs permitted. Thank you.

  • Troops of 4 girls or less: 1 adult
  • Troops of 5 girls or more: 2 adults

**All girls registered must be in the Girl Scout level that the event is for.  Please verify each participant's grade level via MyGS before registering. GSOC will confirm her grade level prior to the event. Registrations for individuals outside of the specified Girl Scout level or grade for this event will be cancelled**
