Gold Award Training (Irvine Headquarters)

Girl and Adult Training required for Senior/Ambassador Girls wishing to pursue the Girl Scout Gold Award, and their Troop/Group Advisor.

***This is NOT a drop off event. Girls MUST be accompanied by a Leader or Parent***

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador in 9-12th grade. Girl Guidelines for earning the Gold Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Seniors and The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Ambassadors.

This workshop is REQUIRED for:

  • Girls who will be working on the Girl Scout Gold Award. The workshop is designed for those who have completed or have nearly completed 2 Senior/Ambassador Journeys and are ready to focus on the Gold Award Take Action project. (Journeys completed must be: GIRLtopia, Sow What?, or Mission: Sisterhood for Seniors and/or Your World/Your Voice, Justice or Bliss: Live It Give It! For Ambassadors -- OR -- have completed any one of the listed Journeys in grade level and have earned the Girl Scout Silver Award as a Cadette)
  • The Troop/Group Adult Volunteer seeing girls through the paperwork, and approval process.
  • Project Advisor (who is the project’s subject expert) for girls has required online training on www.GSOCLearning.com. The Project Advisor is not required to attend an in-person workshop.

Courtesy: In order to create an effective learning environment for all, our volunteer trainers are unable to accommodate children at this training. Additionally, arriving more than 20 minutes after the start of class may cause you to forfeit credit for this class. Please plan accordingly.
