Unfortunately, late arrivals past 20 minutes will forfeit the opportunity to attend and receive credit for the Gold Award Training session.  Please plan accordingly.

Girl and Adult Learning (Training) is required for Senior/Ambassador Girl Scouts wishing to pursue the Girl Scout Gold Award and their Troop/Group Advisor.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador in 9-12th grade. The Girl Guidelines for earning the Gold Award are found in the Handbook section of The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting for Seniors and Ambassadors.

Girl Scout Gold Award Training gives leadership strategies and applicable tips specific to the Girl Scout Gold Award. This course has been developed with the help of volunteers, is trained by volunteers, and is intended for girls and volunteers.

This training is REQUIRED for:

  • Girls who have completed or have nearly completed two (2) Senior or Ambassador Journeys –OR– have earned the Girl Scout Silver Award and have completed or nearly completed one (1) Senior or Ambassador Journey and are ready to focus on the Gold Award Take Action project
  • Troop/Group Adult Volunteer seeing girls through the paperwork and approval process

**This is NOT a drop off event. Girls MUST be accompanied by a Leader or Parent. Follow the ratio chart: Senior/Ambassadors must have two (2) registered volunteers per 24 girls**

Project Advisor (who is the project’s subject expert) has required online training on www.GSOCLearning.comThe Project Advisor is not required to attend an in-person training.
