This training is required for Brownie Troop Leaders. You should have already completed New Leader Orientation training.

This training is specific to the Girl Scout Brownie level.  Topics will include:

  • Characteristics of a Girl Scout Brownie
  • The Girl Scout Leadership Experience including the 5 Ways Girl Scouts Builds Girl Leaders
  • Girl-Led Progression
  • Troop Management and Kaper Charts
  • Keeping girls safe – Safety Activity Checkpoints, Permission Slips and Health History Forms and volunteer-to-girl ratios
  • The Girl Scout Brownie uniform
  • Girl Scout Program including:
    • The Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) and how to create a year plan
    • Badges & Journeys
    • Girl Scouts at Home & Virtual Troop Meetings
    • Product Program
      •  Fall Product & Cookies
      • The 5 Financial Literacy Skills
      • Entrepreneurship Progression
      • Using SMART Goals
  • Finances and Budgeting
  • Outdoor Progression
  • Troop Travel Progression
  • Community Service & Take Action Projects
    • Inchworm of Service
  • Bridging to Juniors
  • Girl Scout Resources
