Location: Camp Scherman
Accommodations: Ranch House Cabins
Ready to get your art on? Unleash your creativity with a weekend of colorful, hands-on fun! From painting with a camp twist to paddling across the lake and trying unique art-inspired adventures, you and your Girl Scout will make masterpieces-and memories-together. All Weekend Camps must have proper youth-to-adult ratios.
At Girl Scouts, we believe every child should have the chance to experience camp-no matter their financial situation. Camp Scherman uses flexible, membership-style pricing system with three tiers so families can choose the option that best fits their needs.
- GSOC Girl Scouts may select Tier 1, our most subsidized rate, or Tier 3, which reflects the true cost of operating weekend camp.
- Visiting Girl Scouts from other councils may choose Tier 2, a subsidized rate for non-GSOC members, or Tier 3.
Families and troops are encouraged to choose the tier that aligns with their membership type and financial comfort. All selections are completely confidential and do not affect the camp experience in any way. No matter which tier you choose, every camper receives the same high-quality, memorable Camp Scherman experience.
- Tier 1 = $200
- Tier 2 = $230
- Tier 3 = $265
Adult volunteers attending weekend camps must complete a fingerprint-based background check and an online Mandated Reporter Training.
If you have not completed this process, email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org and put Mandated Reporter Training and/or Fingerprinting in the subject line.
The only exception to this is if you're coming to a weekend camp as a parent/guardian and camper pair and are not supervising campers who are not related to you in any capacity, you do not need to complete fingerprinting and Mandated Reporter training requirements.
*This camp is open to troops, Juliettes, and those with an active membership awaiting placement in a troop!
