Open to Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors

At this event, girls will learn what data science and citizen science are and how NASA is using them to advance space science and exploration. They will go through an interactive activity to learn how to solve a data science problem and how to make a data visualization on NASA's website.

Girl Scouts will be introduced to 3 interactive NASA citizen science activities that they can do with their friends and family. All of the interactive tutorials/activities in this workshop can be replicated/continued at home for further education and fun, and can be incorporated into the STEM Outdoor: Think Like a Citizen Scientist Journey for Girl Scout Juniors!

This is not a drop-off event. Adults do not need to register. Please limit to minimum adult/girl ratios (2 adults per troop). Adults present will be asked to assist during the activities.

**All girls registered must be in the Girl Scout level that the event is for.  Please verify each participant's grade level via MyGS before registering. GSOC will confirm her grade level prior to the event. Registrations for individuals outside of the specified Girl Scout level or grade for this event will be cancelled without refund**
